Full Cheek Snaffle Bit with Keys / Players

This full cheek jointed bit has players and is great for young horses to play with.

Often used on young horses to encourage mouthing.

 

The full cheek helps with turning as the bit cannot be pulled through
the horses mouth.

 

The set of ‘keys’ in the middle of the bit are for the horse to play
with and therefore salivate which encourages the horse to soften in the mouth.

 

The jointed mouthing bit has 2 joints, which means the
pressure of the bit is distributed over both the tongue and bars of the mouth.

 

Because the mouthpiece has two joints, it shouldn’t cause any
interference with the roof of the mouth.

 

The players, which are attached to the centerpiece, provide
the young horse with something to play with, encouraging mouthing and are more
fun for the horse than just a plain mouthpiece – encouraging acceptance of the
bit.

 

The full cheeks have a lateral guiding effect, and also
prevent the bit from sliding through the mouth.

 

The full cheek is often used with bit keepers to prevent the
cheeks from getting caught on anything.
